I have to tell you that I’m increasing my miles along with the humidity rising. I set out to run between 10-12 on Saturday, not sure what would be and wanted to be relaxed about the run. Well, I logged 9.5, but it wasn’t all running. I had some walking in there, as the humidity was so darn high! The air was thick & my body wasn’t doing what I hoped it would do. So, it took it easy, listened to my body & walked a little. Sunday I only ran 4, but it was more of the same. This humidity is kicking my butt!
But, what is not kicking my butt is my home brewed kombucha. Are you a fan of kombucha? I am. I think either you enjoy or you find it to be grotesque! I was so excited to try to brew my own, instead of purchasing it, as it’s quite pricy! So, I was sent a kit from Brooklyn Kombucha to get me started!
I was a little skeptical to brew my own & leave it on my counter for 14 days. Yikes! It seemed so unsanitary. Well, I did it. I didn’t add any fruit or flavors for my first brew, as I wasn’t exactly sure how to do that, so I followed the directions & I was a brewing! I got 5 full jars(servings) of my own homemade kombucha thanks to Kombucha Brooklyn! I have to admit that it was quite easy & tasty as well! So neat to do my own. I have yet to add some dried fruit or other flavor teas, but thus far, I’m happy with my progress. This is so much cheaper than purchasing at the store. I pay $3.50 for each bottle (when it’s on sale). This is so much more economical & serioiusly simple!
Would you ever try to brew your own? It’s worth a shot!!!!! Tasty & Easy, nothing’s better than that!
Yesterday was visitors day at camp where Stone (12) is attending for 4 weeks in Michigan! Here’s a few photos from our visit!
The guy is getting so darn tall & SO happy!
Sporting my new sunglasses compliments of Firmo0!
Who do you think is taller, Stone or Rachel?
Firmoo asked me to review their glasses for you. Since my script is so high & it’s complicated for me to purchase glasses, I decided to get some fun sunglasses. I was able to “virtualy” try them on before I decided on my choice. So, I chose the ones above. They came with a hard case & lense cleaner, as well as a storage bag. The process was VERY easy. However, I did find them to be a little small for my liking, which I’m sure that had I tried them on in a real store, I wouldn’t have that issue. None the less, they’re great sunglasses, they’re very dark & light on my nose. They have a deal going on now that if you choose a specific pair of their glasses, you can get them FREE! Yes, seriously, here’s the link. If you’re in the market for a pair of glasses, you should really check them out! There’s no downside! Here’s the website to get you started. They have a lot of glasses to choose from, as well as bifocal, sunglasses, non-script (which I have never understood), etc. They have quite the variety & you customize as you want! Have fun.
