Thank you all for your concern for my darn blister! I have to tell you that I’m thrilled to let you all know that I’m 98% better! My blister has new skin growing & my “blister nursing” worked wonders! I was able to run 2x this weekend with absolutely 0 pain/discomfort/re-injury!!!
Doesn’t that look 100% better? Feels that much better too!
Well, Yesterday was the 3rd annual Title IX 9K in Chicago & I ran it again! I’ve run it the past 3 years. It’s an all women race, a nice easy loop & small, friendly race. The weather was a little chilly, but perfect for running.
This was a great crew to run with yesterday. Abbie, my boss, who has been running for many years, but is always a treadmill runner. Alida, my sister in law, who’s been running for a while now & has really gotten the “running bug”. Terri, just started running 2 yrs ago, is a fellow blogger over at Conservative Juice & this was her 1st organized race!!!! Laura, my friend & fellow blogger at Fit Running Mama! We had a great run! I also scored another PR! Yea for me! I ran so speedy & felt great! I pledged to run 13 races in 2013 & this was my 13th race! Woo hoo! I met my goal! I really need another goal to keep me going! I work for goals! Wonder what will be next. Don’t worry, I’ll share!
