I like telling you what I’m doing with my training because it not only keeps me accountable to myself, but I feel accountable to you as well. So, let me tell you that I may take an extra day off this week. Tomorrow, I’m supposed to run 5 miles, but I may just sit that out because my shins have been achy & I really want to be in good shape for my 18 miler this weekend. I’ll have to see what happens in the a.m. Right now, it’s a bit past my bedtime, as I like to go to bed a bit earlier than this when I’m waking up at 5am for a run. So, I’m not off to a great start. I do, however, have on my compression sleeves. I love wearing/sleeping in them. They really do help a lot. I guess this is more like a confessional because I hate disappointing myself & you as well. However, I do think it’s important to take my own advice & listen to my body. I know it would be best to take a rest day tomorrow. I’ll let you know what happens. Ugg, so much “head trash”!
I was out with family tonight & Benji was home with the kids. We spent much of the day at the pool & the sun & heat beating on us was absolutely exhausting! When I got home, I saw this:
Benji told Truman to go to bed because he was exhausted & Truman insisted he wasn’t, so instead crashed on the kitchen floor. I guess he’d rather sleep in the kitchen than admit he was exhausted & go to bed!
Well, now it’s my turn & I’m in bed.
